Cape Chamomile Massage Oil
I'm absolutely in love with this special chamomile from South Africa. The aroma is just ecstatic. I'm not even bothering to stock other species of Roman or German chamomile right now since this is the only one I want to use. I'm very biased. It ignites such joy when you inhale it.
I feel that chamomile is a must in everyone's medicine cabinet and blending kit. It's one of mother nature's finest nervines - relaxing the nervous system. It also adds such a beautiful floral scent, like sunshine to every blend. The flowers are so bright and happy, like small daisies. I put this in the popular protection (Archangel Michael blend), Anisa, Stress Release and many custom perfumes that clients have ordered. It gives blends a fruity, floral, uplifting fragrance.
When I put limited edition, it means that we may never again get a batch quite the same and when it's out. We don't know when we'll get any more. I don't think people really know what this means sometimes. I laugh looking back when I first started, I would call to order more of something and a distiller would say, "Oh no, don't have any more. Try next year." I would just stutter, "what do you mean....?". I was in shock and then almost crying on the other end. Distillation of pure essential oils is not like getting the herbal tea or tincture, that is ready available for many plants. Distillation is an art and requires so much plant material. Some species and some areas just don't have a large production. One company tried to send me a horrible synthetic adulterated cape chamomile, it was so obvious.
Safety Issues: none known. Not for internal use. For sensitive skin it's suggested to do a patch test. Apply a small amount in the dilution you intend to use and wait for 24 hours before using more liberally over the skin.
These oils are bottled in precious violet glass. Eleven years of research went into the creation of this glass. The intention was to find the best shade of glass that would protect medicines from sunlight. The glass actually has crushed amethyst in it. I find it enhances the smell and preserves the shelf life. It's a much higher quality of glass than brown or blue glass. Many people have tried to persuade me to use cheaper, less expensive glass but my commitment is to use on the highest quality ingredients and packaging material possible. I won't compromise. I highly suggest you recycle the bottle once it is empty. You can soak it in bowl of soap and water and wash it out, use it for making your own personal blends. We sincerely hope you enjoy this wonderful essential oil.
